A Brief Introduction to Dermoscopy

A brief intro with examples and explanations of the kind of structures you will see with a dermoscope.

Interactive Tutorial Module.

An interactive module where the user can view the clinical and dermoscopic views of a lesion, calculate the Stolz Score w/ an embedded program, and then see the histology and pathologic diagnosis. NEW!!! We now have over 70 lesions to view (thats over 200 slides)!!

The Stolz scoring algorithm program.

This is an original program in Javascript allowing you to calculate the Total Dermoscopy Score online! (This program is incorporated into the interactive tutorial.)

Features will/do already include:

• A comprehensive introduction to dermoscopy w/ examples and explanations of clinical and dermoscopic images.
• An explanation of using the prognostic algorithm developed by Wilhelm Stolz MD, Professor of Dermatology. This will allow you to better quantify lesions using some objective criteria.
• A completely interactive tutorial with dozens of examples. Each example will consist of an unknown lesion's clinical and dermoscopic images. You will be able to use a custom program to calculate Stolz's Total Dermoscopy Score from within your web browser!
• After you've made your presumptive diagnosis, you will be able to view the histology as well and see what the pathologic diagnosis was.
